We are pleased to announce that the Fourth Annual Corporate Governance Conference at Alfaisal University will lead to a special issue (Symposia) with the Journal of Institutional Economics (JoIE), co-edited by Prof. Jason Potts and Prof. Necati Aydin.

The Journal of Institutional Economics, published by Cambridge University Press, is recognized as one of the highest-ranking journals in the field (Scopus Q1, indexed in Web of Science SSCI), and is widely respected for advancing research on institutional and corporate governance.

All papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in this special issue. Participants are expected to submit an initial draft prior to the conference, which will then be revised and strengthened based on feedback and discussions during the sessions.

Around 15 papers will be selected for the special issue to be published after going through the review process. This offers an exceptional opportunity for scholars to present their research, gain constructive feedback, and publish in one of the highest-ranked journals in institutional economics and governance.

The theme of the issue is:

“Corporate Governance, Institutional Dynamics, and Digital Technology.” Special emphasis will be placed on the institutional transformations in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, while also connecting to broader global debates on governance reform and AI adoption.
